Sometimes this results in depression or a combination of physical and emotional states that both need to be addressed by physicians and experts in the field. Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital offers a variety of programs tailored to the needs of older adults.

Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Services


Our specialized program for older adults provides state-of-the-art care in a supportive environment when depression, anxiety, addiction or other behavioral disturbances diminish quality of life. Treatment is provided by a team of highly qualified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses and mental health specialists who are dedicated to helping each and every patient.

Partial Hospital Program (Coming soon)

Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital Partial Hospital Program is a structured therapeutic program available 5 days a week, 6 hours a day. It is designed to meet each patient’s individual needs. Participants in this program are able to attain relief from debilitating symptoms and improve their ability to function and enjoy life. This unique program has proven to be an effective “step down” from inpatient hospitalization.

Outpatient Program (Coming soon)

Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital Traditional Outpatient Services will be carried out under the supervision of a master’s level therapist. The client will participate in our weekly outpatient group therapy program and continue to learn how to manage emotional or situational difficulties while experiencing the support of their peers. Group members are encouraged to explore options and find solutions to problems that challenge their emotional and personal well- being. Consultations with a psychiatrists or nurse practitioners are available.
